Biographical Information
I was born and brought up in a small village in the
United Kingdom and received my primary and secondary education at Michael Hall, a Waldorf school in
Sussex where my father taught. When I was eighteen I came to the U.S. and after several years of working,
found myself at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico studying the Great Books. I completed my degree in
liberal arts and entered the Smith College School for Social Work, graduating with an MSW in 1993. Since then, I
have worked in various capacities as a crisis therapist in emergency rooms and as an outpatient therapist in
mental health clinics. I opened my own practice in 2004.
